Dr. Daniel Carson DMD Charleston

A native of James Island, South Carolina, Dr. Daniel S. Carson, Jr. completed undergraduate training at the College of Charleston with a Bachelor of Science degree in molecular biology. While an undergraduate, Dr. Carson participated in neurotransmitter research at MUSC.

He attended the Medical University of South Carolina Dental School, where he ranked in the top ten percent of his class. During his tenure at MUSC, Dr. Carson received both the Ben Irby Oral Surgery Award and the Removable Prosthodontics Award.

Dr. Carson finished his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at MUSC. During his final year there, he served as Chief Resident. After completing his training, Dr. Carson joined Dr. Lon Doles at Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Associates. Dr. Carson also has privileges to perform surgery at Roper St. Francis Hospitals.

Eligible for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Carson focuses his professional interests on orthognathic surgery and oral infections.
